This was an awesome and ultimately pointless movie. My favorite type. Its about a random meeting of two people in the semi ghetto part of LA. The whole movie is just two people interacting. The scene in Target has to be one of my favorites of all time.
Paz Vega is great in it, she pulls off snarky american attitude even though she has an accent. She's pretty hot too even though she has a kinda manly jawline.
There's a bunch of other actors you've seen elsewhere. The little Indian guy from Royal Tenenbaums, "Evil Bitch" from current episodes of House MD, Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, chubby jewish guy from Superbad which i've been meaning to see. I might actually buy the dvd(10 items,not superbad).

Played in a dodgeball tournament today. Met some new people that are pretty cool. We got our asses beat. grr i'm gonna train for next week. I'm gonna attempt to use my volleyball skills to hit the ball rather than throw it. I can get more spin and velocity off it.
We probably still lose since there's like pros playing, but hopefuly we be more competitive.

So, having extra time on my hands, I've been bored and tried craigslist just to see if I can make new friends to go out to take photography or hangout with. Anyway, almost all of them seem flakey as hell. They'll e-mail me saying something along the lines of "hey keep next weekend free to go shooting" or something. I reply and even give my cellphone, but they'll either forget or check their email again a week later after the fact.
MoCCA is today and i was looking for someone to go with. One girl replied saying i'm new to the city, want to meet people, have no one to go to events with, interested in going, blah blah. I respond and never get a response back. I have to talk to her in MSN just now to find out she's not going. Well bitch, you're not going to meet anyone if you don't even have the decency to tell someone you aren't showing up. Like i'm gonna waste my time again just to get stood up.
Ah well, i guess I'm doomed to meet lazy idiots that never want to do anything, in real life and virtually.

On plus side, people I have met:
I have met a nice french girl, she doesn't understand much spoken english, but at least she makes an effort. She works as a nanny so doesn't have much free time.

Emily from seattle, met her last fall. Tracy met her, she's alot of fun. Has moved back to seattle but still keep in touch.

Met a group of people from the water taxi beach and we exchanged e-mails. They went to the effort of driving out to queens to play volleyball from jersey. They also been to long beach last weekend. Hopefully they don't somehow get merged into the brandeis people. We're trying to form a team for a dodgeball tournament in july.

Had a barbeque over at my place today. My friend brought over his Wii to play with. just to be safe, we played on the tv in the basement instead of risking my 60 inch upstairs. It was a wise choice as Te was within inches of punching the screen.

Tracy's visiting from SF. Tonight after volleyball went to karaoke till past 3:30am. What happened to me? I used to know dozens of places to go that were open all night, and various people to stay out with. Now they all moved away or i guess having a fulltime job has just made them old. haaaah....
I didn't even do cool things like go clubbing. It was dumb things like fearing for your life while learning to drive in the middle of the night or taking night shots(why was I on the brooklyn bridge in themiddle of the night?), or riding my bike to flushing at 3 am to do bike marshalling at 6.

Oh wow, I just figured out I'm able to revive and heal people that aren't in the active party!!!111 Too bad I'm almost done with the game. DURRRRR....
I'm going on just over 200 game hours now. And I'm not even trying to complete every little thing, just the hunts and the espers. I don't get how people can finish this in 40 hours, unless they have a walkthrough to know what to do in every point in the game. Thats dumb, why even play the game? Seriously, there were points where I was stumped and had to read a FAQ to figure it out. By the time I got an extra character in my party I think i was in around 16 hours.

You know what sucks though is that the hunts and boss battles don't give any exp for killing the monsters! The last hunt is a battle that averages 5 hours, and I won't get exp points for that ;_;

My final party is Vaan as a tank, Fran as the heavy hitter( Ultima blade and genji gloves= 6500-7200 X 3-5 hits= 20,000+ damage a turn ^_^), and Penelo as a archer/healer.
If all are at the same level I find these are the best.

Basch always seems to die and is a magnet for status effects.

Balthier is the coolest character, but has low health and does low damage.

Ashe is pretty good, but she looks retarded handling most weapons, especially 2 handed swords. She has a sexy pose when holding a rifle though.

Fran just looks cool and has the best attack animations. Even unarmed, she does Bruce Lee's one inch punch or a flip kick. I yell out "waah-tah!" when she attacks. Her magic attacks are strong too. Bunny girl for teh WIN!

Penelo dies easily but has the most MP and her status effect spells seem to hit more often than others. a good support char. plus her attack spells seem to cast faster and hit like a bitch!

Vaan is just a loveable goofball, he's gotta be in my party.

I'm basically almost finished with the game. Doing some side hunts and quests before going to the final stage.
Right now I'm fighting Hell Wyrm, a monster that literally has like a million and a half hit points. Each of my chars does 3500-5050 dmg each hit. Fran has a high chance to do combos, so can sometimes do 12,000 or more damage. I been at it for around 2 hours now. Thank goodness for the gambit system, i only have to nominally pay attention.
